Maynard James Keenan has once again undergone surgery after suffering an unexplained hip injury during A Perfect Circle's European/UK tour last month in July. In a social media post shared on August 26, the musician and entrepreneur revealed that the injury forced him to complete the tour in chronic pain with the aid of a cane.

He was eventually informed he would need a hip replacement. The 62-year-old previously underwent hip replacement surgery in 2015.

Despite the procedure, Keenan said he still intends to honor all of his upcoming dates with Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifier later this year.
