Max Bemis has put his scheduled acoustic performances on hold as he steps away from the stage to focus on his mental health and overall well-being.

The decision arrives as unverified sexual misconduct allegations involving the Say Anything frontman have spread across Reddit and other social platforms. Some of the posts contain screenshots that users claim document conversations with the musician, though their authenticity has not been independently confirmed.

Bemis has not publicly responded to the accusations as of publication. Meanwhile, commenters have flooded the band's postponement announcement with criticism and demands that he address the allegations.

Say Anything shared the following statement on August 28:

"Due to the need to prioritize his mental health and personal well-being, Max Bemis' upcoming performances have been postponed.

Max will be taking the necessary time away to focus on his health.

We appreciate everyone's understanding, patience and respect for his privacy at this time.

Refunds will be available at points of purchase."
